Born from the SOCOM PDW solicitation, the Maxim Defense PDX™ U.R.G. is designed to handle the fierce demands of the Tier 1 community. The PDX™ U.R.G. dominates in close-quarter encounters and achieves maximum energy on target without sacrificing accuracy at distance. At just 14” in overall length, the PDX™ U.R.G. is the ultimate choice for when concealment and personal defense is non-negotiable.
At the heart of the PDX™ KIT is our Maxim SCW™ system. This patent-pending design cuts down the length of the stock to 4” and offers an integrated BCG with interchangeable buffer weights to give you the flexibility to maximize performance and versatility without sacrificing functionality or form.
The PDX™ KIT is also equipped with Maxim’s HATEBRAKE™ Muzzle Booster. This patent-pending device significantly reduces recoil, decreases the flash signature, pushes gasses and concussion waves downrange away from the operator improving overall execution. The PDX Kit uses a Direct Impingement system.
The PDX Kit comes with everything you need to turn your lower receiver into a Maxim Defense PDX.

I bought this and put it on a James Madison 80% lower with a single stage trigger and cmmg parts kit. I got a bolt catch from cmmg that’s out of spec and won’t hold the bolt open. I’ll fix that soon enough. Otherwise this thing hasn’t missed a beat. I was nervous because everyone told me not to go less than an 8” barrel and only in 300 blk. Well they were wrong. This 556 feeds every round I’ve put thru it including a 60 round drum full of bulk reloaded ammo. It’s my favorite gun I’ve ever owned. Looking forward to putting a can on it.

Wow! Just received my Arid PDX Kit. Packaging is very well thought out. Fit and finish are excellent, best of any AR platform I’ve purchased. Awesome job MAXIM. I’ve ordered some short barrel ammo so will update after a few hundred rounds.
